Top of mount 51 the day after our hit on March 11, 1967, off of Qua Viet [river mouth].

Inside mount 51 after the gun was wrapped in canvas to keep it dry.

Give 'Em Hell 765 was on top of the DASH platform. You can also see mt. 52 and a partial view of the stern.

Petty Officer Yopek, standing in the brown jacket on top of mt. 51 was the ship fitter who did such a great job in cutting the damaged piece out of the top of the mount.

Top of mt. 51 the day after the hit. Taken from the signal bridge.
Standing next to the mooring line is LtJg Robert Wahlfeld, CIC officer (left) and LtJG Ron O'Riley, Supply officer.
On top of the mount are LtJg John Genet with his camera standing by the hole.
Leaning against the gun fire radar receiver may be Lt. Bill Schenck, Chief Engineer.
I don't know the white hats.

Taken at Subic Bay in 1967, we see Keppler nested with three other destroyers. No. 4 in the nest is USS Warrington (DD-843) with whom we traveled many miles. I believe the others are the USS Manley (DD840) and the Newman K. Perry (DD-883).
