I will try to only comment on major entries, updates, and changes to this site. If I took the time to note everything that gets done here on a daily basis I'd need another server just for these notes.

We've upgraded to a faster server, again. The site keeps getting bigger, and we keep running out of server resources.

I think i've located and fixed the problem that was blocking the registration form.
7/15/2006 *** Quarterdeck Log ***
Moved the log form to a static page. Too many people using pop-up blockers weren't seeing it.

The new message boards are online.

The new guest log is up and running.

I am working on a solution to the auto-SPAMs that we are receiving on the guest log.

I've re-done the email forms program, and now all forms seem to be working properly.

None of the old email forms work on the new server.

I'm in the process of tracking down all the things that don't work properly with the new server.

I've moved the site to a new, faster server.
4/1/2006 *** I'm Back! ***
After a very long hiatus, I've returned.
Over the next few months, I will do a very very long over-due update to this web site.
12/19/2001 *** Alumni Database (roster) ***
Finally got the bugs worked out. Seems to run several times faster than the old version. Added many new features. Got it to work with the old username/passwords, so the transition should be transparent.

Added a 'Crew' section to main menu. Moved several related links to this new section.
04/15/2001 *** Christening ***
Added a Christening section to the 'Ship's Office'.
04/09/2001 *** Sick Bay ***
Added this new section. Think it will be a good place to keep information regarding illness affecting a mate.
03/20/2001 *** Quarterdeck Log ***
Added 'Years Associated' fields. I think this will make the entries more useful to readers.
03/16/2001 *** Housekeeping ***
The Main Menu was starting to get too long, so moved several links to a new Office Menu.

Added a Site Map page to give Users a better idea of what's here, where to find it. and how to use it.

The home page is created by a program that rotates different page views each time someone comes here (6 different at this time).
The problem was that occasionally a visitor would get a blank page.
I finally found the "bug", and fixed it.

I finally got around to adding another mailing list script that will be used to send newsletters. Who would like to volunteer to write a few newsletters?

Completed modifing the entire Cruise Book section so that they will nolonger break out of the main frame.
12/24/2000 *** Web Site Size ***
This site reached 50 MB in size today!
Consider the fact that the average web site is around 2-3 MB.

Added Mike Philbin's contribution to the section.

Added Glenn Petteys' contribution to the section.

I added more groups (status) to the login. This will give us a better picture of who's coming aboard.

Added the 1962 Med Cruise book.

Because the Guest Log is only intended to be signed once, I've added a Quarter Deck Log, popup window and script to the main menu frame. Thought it would be interesting for everyone to see the routine site traffic, ie; who's been here, when and how often.

Added script code to not allow remote entries. The page was getting bombed with get-rich-quick link entries from automated sites. Added logging to track whoever does enter a link.

Added a popup window to all external links, fixed the links counter, and cleaned up the html and perl code.
09/14/2000 *** Crew and Guest's Message Boards ***
Added names to the board subjects, and compressed the date/time strings. Cleaned up previously entered messages.

Added a new start page and script with 'List by name' or 'List by Tour' option buttons.
